Message to Readers and Details on my LA and San Diego Trip

November 18, 2016 Zin

Hello everyone, I wanted to write a personal message to everyone reading this to thank those of you who have contacted me to tell me they are enjoying the site so far. I’m sorry I haven’t had a chance to post as often but remember,

a wise man once said nothing…

I am shooting for 2 posts per week as of right now ranging in topics mentioned on the about us page. I spent Halloween weekend, Friday through Tuesday in Los Angeles, but made a side trip to San Diego with three of my closest friends to meet up with another childhood friend of ours, a Navy Helicopter technician. He was able to give us an inside tour of the helicopter he is responsible for at the Coronado Naval Base. Thank you to all of our servicemen and woman of the United States. Saturday night I had a chance to check out Heaven and Hell San Diego where I saw Apashe open for Wiz Khalifa, Borgeous and W&W. Shout out to Eventvibe and Five Group for hosting a great show with a lot of energy and Halloween fun.

Sunday I drove the three of us back to Los Angeles after a delicious brunch at Café 21 in the Gaslamp District of San Diego. I really liked this place. In fact I will be writing a review on it later but for now check them out in the link and if you are visiting or live near Gaslamp then do yourself a favor and check them out for a solid brunch after a wild night. Great quality food, drinks, friendly service and the bloody mary’s are insane here.

Especially if you go for the $12 jumbo upgrade called “the Prawn Star” with a huge prawn and garnished with a ton of veggies. You will make all your snap chat friends insanely jealous… half of the appeal of a good brunch sometimes… maybe a little?

Monday was Halloween, a quick trip up to Malibu to enjoy the beautiful beaches and try a little surfing while enjoying the sun, what is it about the sun in California that’s so special… After that, Halloween night in downtown LA; a city filled with models, actors and other such performing types you can imagine this was the place to be to see it all. Lots of creative stuff and with an election right around the corner you know there was plenty of political satire. Tuesday night I took the red-eye back to Washington DC, Dulles International Airport.

Airplane ticket was a direct round trip flight for five days booked on priceline, $300, not bad for a quick trip to get four child hood friends together for the first time on the West Coast for a weekend of Halloween and two birthdays.
